Pete Loveday Greetings Card : Get Well Soon Reviews

The G of the “get well soon” greeting on the front of the card is an ornate Celtic letter that would not look out of place in The Book of Kells. This vibrantly humorous card is perfect for anyone with a sense of humour, particularly for someone who embraces their Celtic roots. The figure on the sick bed is so securely wrapped in bandaging that it looks like an Egyptian mummy, and the room is crowded with a motley collection of individuals from, it would seem, just as wide a range of traditions. The dominant figure is a wizard-like individual who is touching the Egyptian mummy figure with his left hand, and holding a glowing quartz crystal over him with his right hand, doing a crystal healing it would seem. On the right side of the card, there are others who seem to be brewing a potion in a cauldron, throwing in herbs and a small green lizard and what appear to be two eyeballs. Another figure is holding a dowsing fork over the patient. Under the bed, yet another is attempting to swat - with a fly swat - what appears to be a small demon. One figure on the left of the card seems to be chanting and others are engaged in some other decidedly pagan practices. There’s just so much happening in this scene that, for the right person, there’s a wealth of detail to brighten their day. But if the person to whom you want to send get well greetings holds traditional mainstream beliefs, then this card is not even remotely suitable! You’ll just have to settle then for something boring and conventional from the local newsagent’s.Mordreth
